Nose Job: Treatments vs. Tweak-ments

Would you like to know more about surgical and non-surgical rhinoplasty? Are you curious to know if dermal fillers will help you achieve the look you want? Would you like to alter the contours of your nose, but don’t want to make a permanent change just yet? If so, this article is for you.
What is a Non-Surgical Nose Job?
Patients investigate rhinoplasty when they are unhappy with the shape of their nose. Nasal surgery is definitely a time-honoured solution, but so are non-surgical fixes. Make-up tutorials, for instance, often advise women to place a line of highlighter or a lighter shade of foundation down the bridge of the nose to make it appear straighter and more prominent.
In a treatment sometimes referred to as “injection rhinoplasty,” dermal fillers are used to plump and voluminise the skin. The injections can be used to create a longer-lasting solution than simple cosmetic tricks, though not the permanent changes of a surgical nose job.
Contouring the nose using dermal fillers is ideal for patients who are worried about the pain, recovery, risks and cost of surgical rhinoplasty. Pain is managed with a simple numbing cream, so there are none of the downsides associated with anaesthesia. The injections generally take under an hour to administer, and patients can return to work immediately after the treatment.
The cost of using dermal fillers for nose reshaping is significantly lower than surgical rhinoplasty. It should be noted, however, that you will need to go back for touch-ups once every year or so.
7 Ways Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Can Change Your Face
Non-surgical rhinoplasty can’t make a large nose look small or improve breathing. What it can do is
- Correct dips and depressions on the outside of the nose
- Smooth nasal bumps
- Recontour twisted, crooked or asymmetrical noses
- Refine or lift the tip of the nose
- Augment the bridge of the nose
- imperfections caused by a broken nose
- Improve nostril symmetry
