How Much Does it Cost?

by | Jul 10, 2024 | Blog, Facelift

The Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift is an advanced facial plastic surgical procedure that requires specialty skills, education, training and superior knowledge of the facial anatomy to perform successfully.

Unlike facelifts and neck lifts of the past, and sadly still some today, the Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift delivers real and long-lasting results.

Patients look like themselves and mostly people can’t tell they’ve had a procedure. Tell-tale signs like scarring, swelling, and tensioning of the skin are minimised. Ageing related features such as jowls and loose skin on the neck and face are addressed.

Your Face Matters

Choosing to have a procedure on an area as important as your face is a serious undertaking. You need to be comfortable and confident that your surgeon can perform the procedure well; you need to feel listened to; any risks must be explained; and your concerns addressed. Trust is crucial to your outcomes and sense of safety by all involved in your care. The level of care you receive in the weeks and months before and following the procedure is also vital.

Due diligence means factoring in the costs:

  • Surgical Fee
  • Hospital Fee
  • Anaesthetist Fee
  • Other costs

The surgical fee will vary widely depending on who you choose to see. Here is where you need to focus in on assessing risks, experience, and outcomes. You also need to be adept at sorting through marketing spin and potentially unscrupulous operators. Only a handful of surgeons are experienced at performing the Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift.

Taking No Short Cuts

Most other surgeons in Australia are very new to this technique, whereas I have been performing the Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift for over 12 years and understand many of the nuances. I am even called on to perform revision facelifts after a patient receives a poor result elsewhere. Much better for the patient who does their research and finds an experienced practitioner first up.

My fee for performing the Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift reflects my experience and the time required to achieve real and long-lasting results.

An estimate of approximate costs can be provided over the phone. A precise and individualised quote is only provided following a face-to-face assessment.

The Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift is a cosmetic procedure, and your quote will include GST. Health funds do not cover cosmetic procedures unless they are deemed medically necessary and included in your health fund policy.

Begin here

The first step is to book in a consultation: we require a GP referral, and a deposit payment secures your booking at my practice. With a GP referral you will be entitled to a Medicare rebate for your initial consultation. The consultation fee is also inclusive of any pre-operational appointments you may require.

Attention to detail

The hospital fee is determined by the length of the procedure and your stay. The Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift is typically a seven-hour procedure (most patients tolerate modern anaesthetics without a long hangover effect), and an overnight stay is necessary. Bondi Junction Private Hospital is state-of-the-art – every contingency is accounted for, and nursing staff are trained according to specialist-specific requirements.

The anaesthetist and anaesthetic nurse see you before the procedure and remain in the operating room keeping you safe during surgery: monitoring blood pressure, temperature, consciousness level, heart rhythm, and the amount of oxygen in the blood. They also supervise the transfer to the recovery after your surgery. I will also be there to speak with you and inform your family that you’re in recovery so they can come and see you.

Other factors which impact your out-of-pocket costs include:

  • Medications including antibiotics,
  • Potentially accommodation costs, especially for those travelling from rural areas or interstate,
  • Skincare regime.

At my practice we provide complimentary compression garments, LED treatments and follow up consultations.
