One of my patients told me that she had always planned to have a facelift when she turned 60.
She had been visiting a cosmetic physician for over two decades to receive non-surgical treatments such as injections with fillers and muscle relaxing toxins. While these treatments had suited her at first, by the time she booked in for a consultation with me she said that her face “did not feel like her own”. There was a migration of filler, swelling and dark circles under her eyes.

Motivation
My patient’s plans were thwarted when she discovered she had cancer and then underwent what she described as the “Platinum Package” – a series of treatments that saved her life but left her feeling very low. They also left her complexion looking grey, pale, tired and stressed.
Getting the ‘all clear’
After surviving cancer, patients who want to have Deep Plane Face and Necklift surgery need a letter of clearance from their oncologist or other cancer treatment specialist stating they are medically fit to proceed.
There are certain medications that they need to stop taking and these also must be approved by their specialist.
