Ages of Beauty

by | Oct 31, 2021 | Blog, Facelift

The deep plane face and neck lift is a procedure that I’ve performed for many years on men and women of different ages.

Some people begin to notice the tell-tale signs of ageing as early as their late 30’s and ask what can be done to help maintain their jawline, cheekbones, and overall facial definition.

Some may not be ready for surgery at this stage and may consider non-surgical treatments such as muscle relaxing injections, fillers, and laser. This has its place in a beauty regimen that targets wrinkles, volume loss and skin tone. These treatments are performed by our cosmetic nurses at least twice a year, usually, as part of an ongoing and tailored approach.

We assess, advise, and time treatments to help meet the patient’s individual goals for enhancement, correction, or maintenance.

Is a facelift for you?

Deciding to undergo a facial plastic surgery procedure is a very individual process.

Patients usually present to me with an idea of the areas they want to target or improvements they wish to see. They may have already invested in non-surgical treatments and be sensing that a more structural approach will serve them better or they may be looking for a beauty fix that lasts for ages.

Sometimes people will continue to have non-surgical treatments after healing from a facelift or surgical procedure. Subtle enhancements like more voluminous, shapely lips or smoother skin can be achieved whether the person has had a facelift or not.

Turning back the clock

Patients who have undergone the deep plane face and neck lift procedure report that they look 10-15 years younger.

Typical improvements include a natural, refreshed look with a more defined jawline, smoother neckline, and more pronounced cheekbones.

The deep plane face and neck lift is the most advanced approach and one performed by relatively few surgeons worldwide. In my experience, it offers more predictable outcomes than other approaches. Recovery time is less, incisions are less visible, and patients report looking like a younger version of themselves.
