Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift – So Good, You Won’t Need Anything Else
With the arrival of 2015, patients have been calling in to ask about facial rejuvenation. Many have made New Year’s resolutions to improve their appearance, and when appropriate, I recommend a deep plane face and neck lift. Despite its name, this excellent technique isn’t major surgery.
The deep plane face and neck lift is the gold standard for helping my patients erase signs of ageing and regaining a youthful glow. Let me tell you more…
What Is A Deep Plane Facelift?
A deep-plane face and neck lift involves the re-positioning of facial soft tissues that droop due to ageing. Because I am manipulating the deeper SMAS layer to achieve positive results, it’s unnecessary to put any tension on the skin.
This is a chief reason that my patients’ faces aren’t pulled or drawn, but instead look wonderfully refreshed, more youthful, and natural.
Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift vs. Traditional Facelifts
A major drawback with older facelift procedures was the pulled, tight, and unnatural appearance that often resulted.
“Young faces don’t look tight. They don’t have sagging, so tightening is a component, but just tightening and tightening does not really achieve a more youthful appearance. In fact, too much tightening can make you look very unnatural, and I don’t think most people are looking for that as an end point.” – Dr Achih H. Chen, Director of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Medical College of Georgia
Additionally, traditional facelifts require immediate follow-up treatment. Perhaps most troublesome, however, is the fact that the results are not especially long lasting.
With a deep plane face and neck lift, my patients enjoy:
- Superior, more natural-looking results
- Long-lasting benefits
- Appropriate for a broader spectrum of patients in terms of age
- Faster healing and few complications
- No unsightly scarring
The deep-plane face and neck lift is the most sophisticated procedure available today. Studies have shown it to be the most effective procedure available for repositioning sagging soft tissue. This is why it has won international acclaim from the cosmetic surgery community, not to mention happy patients and my own thumbs-up.
